A villa may have a garden, swimming pool, terrace, entrance courtyard, outdoor dining area and several places to relax. Yet having generous outdoor space does not necessarily mean making the most of it.

How do you want to use this part of your property, and how might those needs change in the future?
A pergola can create shade, define an outdoor dining area, connect the house with the garden or make an underused terrace more comfortable. But its success depends on much more than the roof itself.
